Ice Skating


PRE-TOT / TOT - Instructors use songs, games, toys and other fun methods that cater to the learning styles and development of young skaters. Focus is on basic coordination, balance and maneuverability on the ice. 6 year olds also have the option to begin in Youth 1. Classes are 40 minutes long and include 25-30 minutes of group instruction and 10-15 minutes of supervised play time.

Pre-Tot - Beginners Age 3-4

Tot 1 - Beginners Age 5-6 and Age 3-4 who have passed PreTot

Tot 2 - Skaters Age 3-6 who have passed Tot 1

Tot 3 - Skaters Age 3-6 who have passed Tot 2

YOUTH - This program delivers the basics of skating like gliding, pushing and striding in ways that 6-12 year olds find challenging and enjoyable. Levels are designed to teach basic motion, balance, and coordination that prepare skaters for hockey, figure skating, or the occasional rink visit. Classes are 40 minutes long and consist of at least 30 miniutes or more of group instruction and 5-10 minutes of supervised practice.

Youth 1 - Beginners Age 6-12 with minimal skating experience

Youth 2 - Skaters Age 6-12 who have passed Youth 1

Teen & Adult - For teens and adults who have little or no formal skating experience. Emphasis is on introducing you to the ice.

Skate rental is included. Size availability is on a first come first serve basis.


***HELMETS ARE REQUIRED FOR ALL SKATERS. BICYCLE HELMETS ARE ACCEPTABLE.***

ICE SKATING CLINIC:
This program offers an introduction to ice skating at great teacher to student ratios. Cool off during the hot summer months and get some exercise at the same time. Please dress warm! Class level descriptions are listed above.

Registration & Refund Information
  • Registration: Student is only considered registered (and spot reserved) in a program once payment is received. Online registration & payment is the quickest and easiest way to secure a spot in a program. Registration is also accepted in our office and by mail on a first-come first-served basis.
  • Refunds: There will be a $10 processing fee for all refunds/credits and all requests must be made at least 5 business days prior to the start of the program. (There are no refunds for activities that require a uniform or jersey after it is ordered).
  • Age Requirement: Participants must be the minimum age for the program or turn that age within the first week of the program.
  • Proof of Age: A document showing date of birth (birth certificate, passport, physical form or other official document) must be provided for each child when registering for their first program with us.
  • Non-Resident Fee: There is a $10 per participant per program surcharge for non-Plymouth residents. To be considered a resident, one must reside in or own a residence within the Town of Plymouth limits at the time registration is submitted.
  • Confirmations: Please keep a record of your registration. Confirmations are emailed as soon as your registration is processed; no further confirmations or reminders are provided.
General Information
Please plan to arrive 15-20 minutes prior to the class start time to allow plenty of time go get skates on and get organized into proper class level.
