Adult Ballroom, Latin & Swing Dancing

Whether you are going to a wedding, function, or out on the town, this class will help you join in on the fun. Learn the proper footwork, lead & follow, & styling so you can gain the confidence to get out of your chair and on to the dance floor.

Intro to Ballroom Dancing: the Fox Trot – The most popular slow dance, the Waltz – The most traditional of all the dances and the one to know for weddings & social function and Swing – when you can dance swing you can dance to them all.

Intro to Latin Dancing: the Merengue – Foundational Latin dance from the Dominican Republic with a simple march rhythm and lots of fun. Rumba – a slow Latin dance that tells a romantic story between partners on the floor & is one of the most popular, the Cha-Cha - a Latin dance made popular in the 40’s & 50’s during the “MamboCraze” learn to move those hips the Salsa – The hottest Latin dance & a must if you are going to a Latin Club.

Intro to Swing Dancing: If you like Big Bands, Blue, Country & Western, Rock & Roll or today's Pop music, then Swing is the dance for you. You can call it Jitterbug, Jive or Lindy; it doesn't matter, you will be learning the basic turns & spins that make it one of the most fun & versatile dances there is. A true American, timeless, classic that you can use anywhere.

Registration & Refund Information
  • Registration: Student is only considered registered (and spot reserved) in a program once payment is received. Online registration & payment is the quickest and easiest way to secure a spot in a program. Registration is also accepted in our office and by mail on a first-come first-served basis.
  • Refunds: There will be a $10 processing fee for all refunds/credits and all requests must be made at least 5 business days prior to the start of the program.
  • Non-Resident Fee: There is a $10 per participant per program surcharge for non-Plymouth residents. To be considered a resident, one must reside in or own a residence within the Town of Plymouth limits at the time registration is submitted.
  • Confirmations: Please keep a record of your registration. Confirmations are emailed as soon as your registration is processed; no further confirmations or reminders are provided.
